Gabrielle’ Dennis began her dreams in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH where she attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts as a Drama, Dance, and Music Theater major. While in school, Gabrielle’ appeared in several plays, commercials, and a few Disney films as well as a small speaking role alongside Gregory Hines in “Rage in Harlem.”
At age 16 Gabrielle’ headed for Washington DC and later attend Howard University as a Communications and Theater student. While there she started her professional television career as a co-host on BET’s award winning teen talk show “Teen Summit.” Later when the show relocated to Los Angeles Gabrielle’ began to host “Mad Flavor” an entertainment magazine show taped out of the DC area and aired on Comcast stations around the country.
After graduating with honors from Howard and booking several independent films and commercials on the east coast, Gabrielle’ decided to make the big move to Hollywood to pursue her dreams full-time. Within her first month she auditioned and booked a spot on Pauly Shores “Minding the Store” (TBS) as a stand-up comic and the leading role in Bill Dukes trailer for the controversial down low issue entitled “Invisible” that got wide radio and internet exposure.
Gabrielle’ continued to build TV/film and commercial credits in LA while tackling a career as a stand-up comedian, a secret dream she always had wanted to try. Gabrielle’ hosted her own street basketball series called “Ballin” for the LA based network LTN and appeared on several TV shows including a guest spot on the Oxygen networks hybrid improv series “Campus Ladies”, and Disney Channels “The Wizards of Waverly Place”
You can currently catch Gabrielle’ on the CW series “The Game” recurring on the shows second season as Janay, the ambitious and goal-oriented girlfriend of lead character Derwin Davis. You can also look out for Gabrielle’ in the film “The Marc Pease Experience” (Paramount Vantage) alongside Jason Schwartzman and Ben Stiller as she not only shares her acting but some singing and dancing as well.
